Richard Doyle – The Man, The Myth, The Legend

Anyone who has been involved in the SolidWorks community for any amount of time has at least heard of Richard Doyle. Now everyone can see and hear him! As many of you know, SolidWorks has been doing this whole podcast series about SolidWorks World 2007 and it’s now Richard’s turn in the spotlight. Click here to listen to Richard talk about his beginnings through this year’s SWW. This is a man passionate about what he does.

Ricky Jordan also speaks highly of Richard on his blog, as does Rob Rodriguez. As a matter of fact, both Ricky and Rob know Richard better than I do…you should just read their blogs and skip mine.

I echo your comments about Richard. He certainly loves his job. I feel fortunate that I get to see Richard at every SW User Group meeting I attend, since we both live in central Texas.

When I first saw you’d posted, Steve, I thought you were angling for one of the controllers…
I think Richard is one hell of a great person. While I’ve only met him once, I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with him many times. I’m looking forward to seeing him again at SWW.

I figured that you’d be there earlier than I and I really didn’t have a chance in seeing you before someone else did. I’m just trying to help generate some more interest in SWW2007 and maybe yours and all the other fine SW blogs that are out there.
I look forward to meeting you and discussing SW in New Orleans.
