3DConnexion and Acrobat 3D

I received and email from 3DConnexion this morning announcing support for Adobe Acrobat 3D. While it will require you to download a new driver, available here, I suspect it will be a great experience for those of you who use Acrobat 3D. You’ll be able to control both the document and the model with your device.

For those of you unaware of Acrobat 3D, you really should check it out, it’s pretty cool. At least that’s what I’ve been told. I’ve seen a couple of demos, too. It’s a slick way to show your models to customers/vendors without them needing anything more than Acrobat Reader. I’m not knocking eDrawings here, it’s just that some people don’t want to download the program and this provides an option outside of SolidWorks…

I’m still waiting (hoping, actually) for a demo copy so that I can see for myself how cool it really is and then let all of you, my loyal readers, know as well.

I can't wait to hear your story about 3D Acrobat. I'm trying to start using E-Drawings as a method other than PDF's but if 3D Acrobat is better, then maybe we'll go in that direction.
    Keep up the good work,
    Steve
