SolidWorks World – Monday

Ok, first things first…We have a winner! Two actually.

Gerald Davis caught me outside my hotel this morning and laid claim to the SpaceNavigator and Jeff Arthur found me at 4pm to take the SpaceNavigator. Congratulations to both of you and I hope you enjoy your new toys!

The morning started off with a buffet breakfast. I sat with Gerald Davis and his cohorts. I then made a vain attempt to get into the Vendor Pavillion early but, even with the help of some SW employees, I was shot down. Off to the General Session.

Jef Ray opened things up, getting everyone pumped up. I couldn’t get over how many people were in the room. P2050043

The picture only shows about 1/3 of the crowd. The place was jammed! Ricky Jordan has already talked about what we learned, so go to his blog to get the dirt.

After the General Session, I went back to the Partner Pavillion and looked up some people I’d met only over the phone when I was reviewing their products. John Hilton of Spatial Freedom, Rick Lando of 3Dconnexion, Brian Watson of Desktop EDA and the guys from Pinion Software. I also spoke to a bunch of other partners and they all seemed very receptive to giving me access to their products for review. You should start seeing stuff coming more rapidly in the near future.

More later…

I'm having a great time with the Space Pilot! I've used the Space Traveler for 2 years. Having the LCD is a real asset.
You didn't mention that when I found you that I practically ripped your arm off shaking your hand! I was so excited and surprised that I was the first to catch you. Thanks!
