Here’s a picture of the bloggers at the user party tonight at Mardi Gras World. From left to right:
Rob Rodriguez, Anna Wood, Ricky Jordan, me, Ben Eadie, Matt Lombard and Lenny Kikstra.
Everyone else arrived a while before I did and they were all in a really good mood when I got there. Mardi Gras World is where they create the floats for the parade every year. There was plenty of food and drink, live music and a huge variety of games. You could also wander around and see all the various figures used for the floats:
While wandering around, I happened upon John McEleny, CEO of SolidWorks, and introduced myself. As I expected, he was a very down to Earth guy. He graciously spent a few minutes chatting with me which, given the fact that there were a lot of people there, I’m very appreciative of.
Tomorrow is the last day. I, for one, am already looking forward to next year’s SolidWorks World!
