About Me

Who am I?

My name is Jeff Mirisola. I’m an independent Mechanical Designer in Kirkland, WA. I started writing this blog in September of 2006. I’d mentioned to Richard Doyle that I wanted to get more involved in the SolidWorks community and he suggested a blog about Partner Products. Hence the name, “Jeff’s Tool Shed”.

I’ve been a SolidWorks user since about 1998 and became a CSWP in December ’05 and a CSWE in January ’14. I’m also a certified DriveWorks AE, a Certified SolidWorks Instructor and I was an AE for a SolidWorks VAR in the Seattle area.

On a personal note, I’m a dad of 3 super sons and an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

To satisfy (I hope) FTC disclosure rules: I am provided with non-commercially licensed software and hardware for review by many companies, including Dassault Systemes. (Duh, this is a review blog) While reviewing said software and hardware, I am in contact with employees of the companies providing products involved and, occasionally, asked for feedback (again, it is a review blog). I am not compensated for any of this. DS SolidWorks Corporation has paid for my travel, accommodations, and some meals for various user group events including SolidWorks World.
